Hokore bamboo floor lamp extols power of flower

Bamboo-based creations are getting popular for one simple reason that bamboo is one of nature’s most sustainable resources. Japanese designer Toshiyuki Tani utilizes the same material to fashion mesmerizing floor lamps and light shades. One of his floor lamps, dubbed as Hokore, tends to fuse traditional craft with modern design as it eulogizes a floral pattern emblazoned on a bamboo border.

Toshiyuki bends carved bamboo sticks into a round ring that encloses a vibrant, 100V 25W E17 Clear Ball light. You can use the beautiful lamp for interior lighting, a shade light or as a gift. Each Hokore lamp measures W-460/D-460/H-550 and retails here for 92,400 Yen ($1,070).
